Room Box Update.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to my new followers.
I thought id post a couple of images of the draw that's part of the room box as i have made a little progress on this too. As you can see from the image below the draw has a lid which has a built in mirror, this acts as a window to view the ceiling of the room box itself.

The reflection you see in the mirror is not the completed ceiling just an image i have placed there so you can see how this works.

I have managed to use a genuine antique mirror for the construction of this, it also has a ivory and tortoise shell frame.

The top of the draw is removable by sliding out the top section, the above image also gives a better view of the tiny draw knob which is inlaid with a beautiful piece of blue lace agate. I really have no idea how this piece will eventually turn out as i have made no detailed plans or drawings and I'm bound to come across the odd problem here or there as i have done already but its been worth it up to now. I now need to start visualising the interior and start looking at the types of different lighting I'm going to use.
Have a great week everyone.   Tony.

  2. I've missed so much of your fabulous work Tony, but I am back and looking! This is truly amazing and it's sooo different!

Argh..lighting...well you can use teeny tiny LED's that run on coin size batteries. You can get them in colours and bright white and warm white.

    Wishing you well,
    Michelle :o))
